Today, the flying K logo has been used for the longest time in the history of Kawasaki brand. Kawasaki's first LOGO debuted in 1961.

The LOGO consists of a text marker and a flag pattern, which already has a circular "川" character on it. The LOGO is unique, with an abstract wing-shaped shape that best represents the company's identity and roots.

Starting in 1967, Kawasaki decided to switch to a simpler, text-based LOGO. As a result, the second version of the LOGO featured a large Flying "K", with red being the first color associated with Japan. The bold sans serif font underneath the K is simple and traditional, yet powerful and authoritative.

In 2014, Kawasaki introduced a minimalist sans-serif font as its primary logo. The original "K" LOGO continues to be used, but "Kawasaki" in Helvetica became the first literal LOGO without graphics in its history.

This time, kawasaki motors split its engine and motorcycle businesses into a new company, which took the opportunity to rebrand kawasaki. The seemingly new icon is actually a key graphic taken from kawasaki's 1961-1967 logo.

The symbol was designed by its founder 川崎正藏 and attached to his ship in 1870. In 2014, Kawasaki used the Logo on its first supercharged motorcycle.
It has made a comeback in recent years and has been used in Kawasaki motorcycles and engine products, but from now on, it will become another core kawasaki identity symbol. It should be noted that the LOGO is only used for Kawasaki Motors Co., LTD. Kawasaki Heavy Industries will maintain the existing K LOGO.
